Endnote X1 - CWYW disabled in Word 2007?

Running Win XP Office 2007. Endnote X1.

CWYW is disabled. Can’t reinable it. No Toolbar.

Here is what I have tried so far:

  1. Trying to reinable disabled addins within Word 2007. No dice. Will not work. If I check the addins to reinable it doesn’t do anything.

  2. Running Endnote Configuration - Checking and Unchecking Unified Cite While You Write and Use as Default Ref Manager tabs. Did not work.

  3. Unchecking “Unified Cite while you Write” under the configuration. Then Doing a repair install on X1. Did not work.

  4. Doing a complete uninstall and reinstall of Endnote X1 - did not work.

  5. There is nothing in my Office12 Startup folder.

Any suggestions?

Did you install the X1 patch?

and just to be sure, I would uninstall, delete everything in the registry having to do with Endnote and start over from there.  X1 doesn’t put anything in the startup folders.

Yep. The patch was installed as well.

Thankfully I Finally got it to work after deleting all registry items yesterday and then reinstalling X1 and the X1 patch.
