Endnote X7.2 not working

Hi,

I have just updated Endnote from X.1 to X.2 (on a windows 8 machine). Now when  try to open Endnote, nothing happens. If I try to open an Endnote file, an error message appears - “there was a problem while sending command to the computer”

Anyone know how to rectify this? Or - even better - how I can get X7.1 back?!

I assume you tried installing  again, ensuring word and other MS-Office products are completely closed?

I would call tech support.

Yes, I tried that. (Even tried unstalling and installing vX7.1 again - which previously worked sucessfully).

I’ll call tech support!
