I’m currently writing a paper using MS Word (version 16.27) and Endnote X9 on a Mac. I’m trying to use the endnote output style provided by the journal. My problem is that Word does not apply this style. In the text, it should be putting the literature references in numbers in indicating to the bibliography. But it keeps putting author, year and #1234 in square brackets e.g. [Adell, 1981 #2589]. Also when I try using a different output style, it appears the same way. I’m slowly but surely loosing it…
