I am trying to remove an old reference and change it to a new reference that it more up to date for my paper. However, the old reference is cited numous times and I would like to be able to change it all at once. Any thoughts?
Does the first author name or year change?
Yes. It’s a completely new reference.
Then I would make a copy of the document and in the copy, insert it the first time, then convert to unformated citations (not plain text!) and now you will have the new citation author, year #RecNo – and I would search and replace the old one temporary citation text with the new one. The reformat the paper.
