Help Needed --- Reference Manager Internet Search is not working

Hello All,

When I try to run an internet search of Pubmed from Reference Manager, I get a message “The system cannot find the file specified”. Can anyone please help? I need the search to import references to my database, to cite in my MS Word 2007 word document. Thanking you in advance.

I am having this same error message when searching PubMed too.  Does someone have the answer??

Finally got this figured out.

It has to do with Internet Explorer settings.  Even if you never use IE, open it and go to the File menu.  Then make sure “work offline” is not selected.   (My user had never even opened IE - it was a new computer- and apparently this was her problem, because it worked fine after just opening IE for the first time).
