How do i export PDFs from an Endnote 20 group?

Exporting pdfs from EndNote groups/folders onto your PC should be a default part of the program but it is not. I went through several forums and talked with a Clarivate agent, but none of them had great answers. Here is the workaround that I came up with in the meantime. The EndNote program only differentiates libraries and not groups/folders within the library, so you have to copy and paste the group/folder you want into a new library, and then download the whole library pdf. To do this:

1. Create a new library in EndNote by: Open EndNote > File > New (enter desired library/file name)
2. Copy and paste the content of the group/folder by selecting all of the reference (ctrl + a) and either copy/paste (ctrl + c/v) or click and drag into the new library.
3. If you are copying from several different folders into one, I suggest making sure you do not have duplicates by: selecting all references in the new library (ctrl +a) > Library tab > Find duplicates
4. In case the pdfs are not named the way you want them to, you can change all of the names by: Reference > File Attachments > Rename Attachments
5. Outside of the EndNote program, go to your PC's search bar (default is on the bottom left) and search for your EndNote library name that you created in step 1. and open the "PDF" folder
6. In order to avoid opening each individual folder, you can search for ".pdf" in the search bar on the upper right corner of the window. This will sort all of the pdfs out of the folders. Note that depending on how many pdfs you have and your computer specs, this may take a minute to fully update itself. If you move onto the next step too soon, you might see more pdfs being found as you are doing the next step.
7. To select all of the pdf, left click on the first pdf, scroll down to the last pdf, and shift + left click the last pdf. The search function includes all of the folders too so you unfortunately cannot do ctrl + a to select all of them.
8. Copy/paste (ctrl + c/v) the selected pdfs into a desired folder on your PC.

Unlikely, but if you want to access ALL of the SHARED library content, you can do so by:
1. C:Drive > Users > (Username) > AppData > Roaming > EndNote > Libraries > XUN9PgrsDqwAABJOtBE > Data Folder > PDF
If you cannot find the “AppData” folder, it might be hidden. To view it, click on the “View” tab (right click > View will not give you the option) and select “Show hidden files and folders”
2. Go to the search bar on the upper right and search for “.pdf” so that you do not need to open each and individual folders.
3. To select all of the pdf, left click on the first pdf, scroll down to the last pdf, and shift + left click the last pdf. The search function includes all of the folders too so you unfortunately cannot do ctrl + a to select all of them.
4. Copy/paste (ctrl + c/v) the selected pdfs into a desired folder on your PC.
