How to change how authors are displayed in formatted bibliographic references

The Help File clearly states that this can be changed in “The Author Lists panels under the Bibliography and Footnotes headings.”

Thing is, I have no idea what that means. I’m using X1 on a Vista machine with Office 07. I’ve spent the last 3 days looking, and there is no “Bibliography and Footnotes” heading (neither in Word, nor in Endnotes), hence no “Author List” panel anywhere to be found.

Currently, my references are cited as “lastname XX, et al.” I need to display the first 6 authors on each reference, and am really not excited about re-typing all the references. That’s kind of the whole point of EndNotes, right?

Any help would be most appreciated.

In the Help files, cover the introduction part of the Bibliogrpahic Style.

Author List heading is found in individual “style” definition files.

Edit>Output styles>Edit “your style”>

This should open up your style definition file, and then you can change how authors are displayed, how many ought to be displayed, etc. etc.
