How to Stop Endnote Automatically Adding Results of Online Search to Library

When I search a library online through Endnote X9, every reference found in the search is automatically added to my library. But not all of the references are what I am looking for. So my library gets cluttered with unwanted references. Is there a way to stop this, so that only the references I choose from the list of search results are added to the library?
