How to use multiple in-text citation style in one document?

In my thesis, I use Harvard style. Normally when I cite to an author,

it seems like " … used this method firstly (Smith, 2012)."

Some times I want to use the author’s name in sentence just like " In 2010 Smith developed a method… "

In this situation I do not want to add an in-text citation in brackets at the end of sentence.

I want to use the name of author as in-text citation. (embedded in the sentence)

How can I do this while I use a regular and defined style in a document?

Thanks in advance.

Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfutg9MNet0 for the tutorial. This direct support was added with X5. If you have an earlier version, it will require inserting the citation and editing it to exclude the author name.
