Importing Folder Into Endnote

Hi All,

I’ve just imported a folder containing mostly pdfs into my endnote library. However, when I imported the pdfs none of the actual information was inputted into endnote (e.g., title for the articles, journal, year etc…). Does this mean that I have to manually type all this information for each pdf in my library? Is there a faster automatic way to do this?

The PDF import feature will look for metadata in the file properties. If that information is not present, it will look for the DOI within the document. If that’s unsuccessful, you can populate the DOI or Author, Year, Title to run Find Reference Update which will update the rest of the fields.
