When I import from many journal pages (Ecological Society for example) any symbols that are in the text, including very common symbols like “%”, “–”, end up as some sort of code in the saved reference. It’s not so bad except in Abstracts where there can be many such symbols (5 or so isn’t uncommon). Does anyone know a simple solution to this problem?
