In-text citation in Word footnote

I am trying to insert in-text citations in a Word footnote. Endnote is automatically converting these citations to a full reference (see attached). I can’t see an option to force these to be displayed as an in-text citation. Any solution? Thank you!

Software details as follows:

  • Endnote X9.3.1 (Bld 13758)
  • Default Harvard referencing style
  • Office 365 ProPlus
  • Windows 10 Enterprise

Harvard isn’t a footnote style  and the footnote setting is to be same as bibliography.  Try changing to Chicago 16th footnote.
