Indentation and Hanging

Hi,

How can I change the format of the following reference?

From:

[1]  Carminati, B. and E. Ferrari, Trust-based Information Sharing in Collaborative

             Springer. p. 83-92.

Focus on the spaces before each line.

I have done that using Microsoft Word see the attached file. But it seems hard to do that inside EndNote.

Also How can I format the reference inside the EndNote, for example, the size-of-font is 8, and then adding it to Microsoft Word and no need to update the reference format each time.

Thanks,

Start by making sure the output style you are using has a tab in the layout – see file attached – use insert field to insert the tab, if the little arrow isn’t already there.  (Edit> output style, edit “style you are using”  Bibliography layout settings there.

– Otherwise, you may have to increase your hanging indent size in the document’s layout style, so the tab goes further away – or decrease it – not sure which?

Thank you for your fast answer on this question.

What about the other part of the question. I am facing a difficulty with the format of the reference. The reference format (e.g. Font size) in EndNote is not like the reference format in Microsoft word. Thus, I have to update the format in the Micrsoft word each time I add a new refernce.

Thank you in advance for saving my time.

The reference list usually follows the font and size chosen for Word, but if not, you can manually control this from a layout tab in Word. See attached picture for explanation.

Best wishes
