Is there a conflict between track changes and fieldcodes?

Hi there,

does anyone know if it is possible to use the Track changes function in Word while editing a document without affecting EndNote citations? 

Switching off instant formatting doesn’t get over the problem of citations going pear-shaped when I accept any change to a document (in review) directly before or directly after a field code change. If when ‘accept all changes’ is selected, the citatations work fine.

Old versions of Endnote used to have a problem, but I don’t think there is a problem with more recent versions. But unformated citation should have no problems?  They don’t change.
