Hi,
I’m having trouble trying to get the journal titles in my bibliography in my Word 2007 document to show up as abbreviated titles. They are currently displayed as the full length names.
I followed the instructions offered in the help file which are as follows (in blue):
To edit a style to use journal abbreviations:
-
From the Edit menu, choose Output Styles and select Open Style Manager.
-
Select the style that you would like to edit, and click Edit.
-
From the list of options at the left of the Style Editor window, click Journal Names.
-
Select one of the available options.
-
Close and save the style. Now when you format a paper or look in the preview pane of the Library window, all of the journal names should be replaced with the appropriate abbreviation.
However, after I followed the above steps, and updated the bibliography the journal titles still showed up as full names.
Would be great if I could get some assistance with getting the titles to show up as abbreviated titles according to the ISSN List of Title Word Abbreviations.
Thank you very much.
