Library-specific settings

Dear Sirs,

Endnote handles too many parameters via the Preferences.  Application-specific settings should be handled this way, but many features should be library-specific instead.  For instance, I often want to have different fields (or different field names) in different libraries.  There is no way to do this.  As a result, it is impossible to use Endnote efficiently in an institutional setting, where one might wish to send colleagues a template with which to collect data.  The reason is that the template will appear differently on every computer, depending upon how people have set their preferences.  Custom fields cannot be given names that can be read on other computers.

Sincerely,

Steve Aird
