Link keywords (see term list) with synonyms to increase search efficiency

For me, the most useful tool of Endnote is the search for papers using keywords. For each new reference I always save additional keywords that are relevant for my scientific work.

However, when searching, I cannot find papers for which synonymous keywords have been entered. Also, many terms in publications appear in different languages. Therefore, it would be very useful to allow the addition of synonyms (could be done editing the term list), including terms used in other languages.

I heartily agree! RefMgr had synonym lists for keywords, but this essential feature seems to have been dropped. As it stands now, for example, say you have the keyword “spark ignition.” Searching for spark-ignition will not work! One has to add “spark-ignition” to the keyword list of every such reference by hand. Come on Endnote, please take this seriously!
