More Ibid. woes

Is it true that Ibid. in repeating citations is context-insensitive? That is, if it is scheduled to occur mid-sentence (“see Author”) you get “see Ibid.”?

Is this controllable? iPhones and other typing programs know the difference (Voice recognition software) between midsentence and sentence beginnings.

Are there any workarounds apart from not inserting code in such contexts? (which seems self-defeating in one way, but the only solution in another way)

Thanks, JIP

This is currently not supported in EndNote but something we are working on. Which bibliographic formatting style are you using?

It seems not to matter which. But I am using a variety of my own, highly modified styles.
