Navigating in Word for Mac 2008

I was curious if there was an easy way to navigate within a Word document written in Word for Mac 2008.  Here is the basic scenario:

I am writing a very long document (dissertation) with many references and when I click on a reference in the text, I am taken to the corresponding endnote at the end of the document.  This is what I want.  However, at this point I would like to return to the point in the document where I clicked on the reference in order to continue writing, similar to how you would click the “Back” button in a browser window.

Is there any easy way to accomplish this?

Thanks,

Brian

On a PC,  Word has a “back shortcut”, Alt+left arrow.
