Option to Disable "Set Up New Library" Window on macOS

I’m using EndNote 2025 on macOS and noticed that every time I open my default library, the “Set Up New Library” window also appears—even when I don’t need it. I understand this behavior was introduced in the latest version to prompt users when no active library is present, but for users who always work with a specific library, this feature feels unnecessary and disruptive.

I’d like to suggest adding an option in Preferences to disable this window from appearing automatically. Having to manually close it each time adds friction to the workflow, especially when the library is already set to open by default.

Thank you for considering this improvement.

HI

Look in
EDIT → Preferences → Libraries you should have this option.
One is “do nothing” so open “empty”
one is last used library
one is open specific library
one is ask which Library you want to open.

At least I do in Endnote 21 Sadly I won’t be going to Endnote V25.
