Output Style for Articles from E-Journals

Hello,

I am a librarian at a small private college in Germany. I am supposed to make up an Output Style for our students.

Our students are supposed to differ between regular Journal Articles and Articles from E-Journals.

If it’s a regular Journal, they shall give the number of pages. If it’s an E-Journal they shall give the DOI or URL instead.

The APA 6th ed., which our standard bases on, says:

Author. (Year). Title. Journal|, Volume|(Issue)|, S. Pages|.

How do I have to edit this, to get what I need?

Is it even possible to do this without creating a new reference type?

Thanks in advance and please forgive me any spelling or grammar mistakes, English is not my native language.

Regards,

Carolin
