Problems with syncing

I’m working across a laptop and a desktop and am finding I am losing some writing when I move between my computers despite ensuring I sync before I leave.

I’ve noticed that some of the record numbers are also different.

Any ideas why this is happening, or more importantly, how I can make my computers sync more precisely?
