References in text change format

I’m using RefMan 12 and using Cite as you write, inserting my references in the Harvard style.  When I insert the reference for the first time it appears correctly in the text: Author. et al year.  However when i insert the same reference a second time in the same document, it inserts it with all the authors into the text.  I cannot find a way to stop this happening.  can anyone help?

Greetings,

The Harvard style that is included with Reference Manager 12 will show all author names within the text for any citation that has been inserted more than once.  If you do not wish to show all author names, you can download the customized style that I’ve attached to this forum post.  Be sure to download the file and place it inside your Reference Manager ‘Styles’ folder.  After downloading the style, be sure to select this new output style when you return to your Word document.

Please let me know if this works for you.  If you have any other questions, feel free to get in touch with us again.

Best Regards,
