I have several custom fields in use. I have renamed these so it is easier to know what I am using each field for (i.e., Edit, preferences, reference types, modify reference types, entered the name I wanted then chose apply to all ref types button to apply the name change). However, in the search pannel, all custom fields still show up as “Custom 1,” “Custom 2,” etc. Is there a way to get the new name to show in the search pannel dropdown box?
Unfortunately not, as the your names are reference type specific and the searches are usually across all reference types.
