Stopping Abstracts appearing in the bibliography when using cite while you write in Word

Hi,

(I’m an X4 user.) Abstracts are appearing in the bibliography when I use ‘cite while you write’. I have tried altering the Style setting away from “Annotated” but if it is set on Author-Date then that is all I get with no entry into the bibliography. Suggestions gratefully received. Thanks. John

You need to change the output style in the manuscript not in the Endnote program.  This is done from the Endnote ribbon (2007/2010) or from the endnote format bibliography tool  (in earlier versions of word).  This way, you can be working on multiple documents and not have to change the output style in Endnote, when you switch from one to the other.
