Suppressing Author's First and middle initial

I’'m assisting a student who need to suppress the first and middle names of the author for in-text citations.  Is there a way to customize the necessary output style such that she does not have to edit the exitisting citations in her EndNote Library?

Thanks

Mies

You’ll need to change the author name setting in the output style’s “Citation” template.

  1. Go to the EndNote toolbar, select Edit > Output Style > Edit [name of the style.

  2. In the output style’s dialog box locate the section labeled “Citations” then click to select Author Name.  Change the “Initial” setting to: Last Name Only.

  3. Close the dialog box. Changes will be saved as a new output file (with the word “Copy”) so adjust EndNote and MS Word to use the new file.
