Text cites changed from comma to hyphen for contiguous numbers

Output styles (such as JAMA) that previously listed 2 contiguous intext citation callouts as 1,2 now list them as 1-2. We recently upgraded to EndNote 3X and I wonder if something has gone wrong. AMA guidelines say to use 1,2 as the style, so I don’t think their journal changed their output style to 1-2. Any thoughts?

This looks like a known bug in EndNote X3.0 that was fixed in a free update patch. You can download the patch here:
