wrong language in "figure"

I use Endnote X.1.0.1 and a German version of Microsoft Word 2002. When I insert a figure, the figure is referred to in German (i.e.: (Abbildung 1)) and not in English (i.e.: (figure 1)). Since I write my thesis in English, I need it to be in English as well. How do I change that?

Hello,

The language used is based on the language of your Operating System.  You would either need to change your system from German to English, not use EndNote to insert the figure, or wait until you are done writing and manually correct it.
