I use Endnote X1.0.1(Bld 2682) with Word 2007. My default output style is APA 5th. It makes me crazy that every time I add a new citation, it appears as Author only. That is, without my asking for it, the year is excluded from the in-text citation. I have looked at the coding of the citation in the output style and I cannot see why it is doing this. Having to manually edit every citation to uncheck the “exclude year” box is tiresome. Is there a patch for this I am missing? How can I make this stop?
