"As quoted by"

How do I enter a reference that includes an “as quoted by,” i.e.    Writer B “as quoted by” Writer A  ?

So you are quoting a secondary source? What style are you using? In APA 6th you edit the intext citation by clicking on it and then using the ‘Edit Citation’ function (on the left of your Endnote toolbar in Word).

Type 'as cited in ’ (without the quote marks and leaving a space after in) in the Prefix box and click OK.

So you’d end up with something like:

Brown states that “blah, blah, blah” (as cited in White, 2007)

Does that make sense?

Cathy

Thank you!!!
