Author Name only partly in Small Caps

Good morning,

I am using the style window under Author Name : Capitalization : Small Caps.

Is it possible to have the author name appear partly in small caps and partly not?

Example (assuming Uppercase are Small Caps):

de Geuss should appear

de GEUSS

and not

DE GEUSS

Others on the contrary may appear all in Small Caps:

De Gennaro should appear

DE GENNARO

I am using X4 on a Mac 10.5.8 and Word 2008 12.2.8

Applying EndNote’s “Small Caps” formatting to the “Author” field means the complete name will appear in small caps so you will not be able to obtain a lowercase “de” as in: de GUESS.

A workaround might be to forego using the Small Caps formatting and enter the name in the Author field as: de GUESS - and maybe submit a product suggestion to to EndNote.
