Using Windows and MS Word. When I insert citations from the EndNote ribbon, they are properly cite in the main body (Last name, year). When I insert a citation in a footnote, endnote completely fails to properly cite the reference. In the footnote in includes the entire citation… author name, year, title, journal, pages, everything.
Under edit citation, I select display as author year, but nothing changes. Is EndNote not compatible with footnotes in word? Is there a way to workaround this to make this product work properly in footnotes?
