Braces and not citation in new file

Hi,

I created a new file and copied and pasted an essay including an Endote X4 bibliography and citations. Now, when I add a new citation it puts it in using temporary delimiters, { asnd }, rather than the actual citation. How can I fix this please? I am using MAC OS Xand Word 2008, all latest versions.

You have inadvertantly turned off CWYW.  Perhaps by accident, or perhaps you unformated the refrences, which automatically turns it off, so they don’t immediately reformat.  You can turn it on again from the format bibliography command, third tab, CWYW Instant formating, and enable it from there.
