Citations not formatting automatically

I have had multiple issues with endnote and its library and have unformatted and reformatted several times.  Now, however, when i insert a citation, it does not automatically format it.  It just puts it in brackets and i have to manuall update the citations to get it to look right.  How do I solve this?

you need to re-enable cwyw on the “instant fomating” tab or endnote ribbon during the reformat process.

Hi, thanks for your answer. But after I tried, my microsoft words has stopped working and immediately close the document and disable the CWYW in the microsoft tab. Could you please help me solve this problem?
