cursor jumping to reference list

Hi

I was posed this query by a postgrad student with a long document:  When he inserts a citation the cursor jumps down to the reference list at the bottom of the document, and he loses the place where he was working …  annoying if you have a lengthy document.

I have noted that normally this doesn’t happen - usually the cursor stays at the point where the in-text citation appears.  Does anyone know why this other occurence may be happening?

Hi

I did in fact refer the client to this FAQ, and he was going to try it out last night.  I shall contact him again and ask if it was successful.  I’ll let you know if it worked for him.
