CWYW does not insert reference

Hi,

I use MAC OS Lion, Word 2011 and Endnote 4.02.

When I insert a citation in a word document, the reference/citation does not appear in the word text.

The reference appears for a second, then it disappears again.

What am I doing wrong?

Which style are you using?  Does it contain a Citation template or are you using a footnote style?

Hi,

I selected Harvard style and now it works.

But how can I exclude brackets in case I want to cite like this:

Saunders et al. state that bla bla (2009, p. 109)

The bibliography should still be Harvard style?

When I edit the pages field in the citation, the number is not included in the quote.

Does it depends on the style?

You can still do this using the Harvard style.  Just edit the citation to exclude the author and put the page number in the suffix field (not Pages field) to create: (2009, p. 109). Then just type in the authors to create:

Saunders et al. state that bla bla (2009, p. 109)
