Discrepancies in citation style between first and second instance

I have the following problem: the first instance of my citation appears as (Author, et al. 2010). Then, the next instance of the same citation appears as (Kuhn, Diken, Kreiter et al. 2010). Please be advised, this issue is not related to footnotes; I am aware there is a setting to adjust repeated citations with “Ibid”, this is exclusively about in-line citations.

I would appreciate any support in editing my custom style to avoid this issue. Many thanks.

in text, check the settings for citations author lists to be sure the subsequent appearance is the same as the first appearance listings.
