Please add the Edit & PDF (call it Edit & Preview) view as available from the main screen, without having to click another button to open a separate window. Almost every single PDF needs attribute editing upon import and so with 3000 or so articles it is just a wasted step to open the only window where I can see the PDF and the text to know how to update the attributes.
Also, just consider even a shortcut to open it or to set it by default as the view to open for every time one selects a document. I spend hours opening this window so I can copy text from the PDF into the editable fields and surely it can just be the default view or a user-customised preference on the main svcreen without an additional window to be opened. I doubt I am the only one who edits attributes of PDFs when they are imported. Please, please, consider this change in UI design. It is like a programmer has made this and it has not been informed by an actual user of the product.
