endnote changes my reference

Hello my problem is that endnote changed some footnotes. eg the content of footnote 57 which belongs to a part xy is now in foonote 58 instead of 57. So that text and footnotes a not corrosponding any more. Can anybody help?

Endnote wouldn’t change Footnote numbering, which is handled by Word.  Can you show what you mean?  A screen shot maybe?
