EndNote CWYW tools in Word 2013 produce "Service Error: No Property" message

Hi

Just wondering if anyone else has come across this, and also if anyone knows what the error message means?
I’ve contacted TR support and my own IT department but they haven’t been able to explain what is happening (or fix it) yet.

EndNote X6 CWYW (Cite While You Write) tools are producing a “Service Error: No Property” message when users attempt to insert a citation into a Word 2013 document from an EndNote library. Initially this was only happening when the library was saved on a network drive. Now it is happening to all EndNote libraries, regardless of where they are saved.

  1. When attempting to insert a citation into a Word document from an EndNote library Word 2013 appears to hang.
  2. On switching back to the EndNote program the message “Service Error: No Property” appears.
  3. Clicking OK on the EndNote error message inserts an unformatted citation into the Word document.
