Endnote for Mac

Hi there,

I am having some trouble with working out how to use endnote. I have microsoft word 2011 and downloaded the ‘cite while you write plug in’ for a mac. Found here: http://www.myendnoteweb.com/EndNoteWeb.html?func=showcwyw& 

Even though I have installed endnote, it does not seem to appear on my desktop. When I go on applications, I can find endnote installer, which asks me to install it again rather than allowing me to simply open endnote. The folder has an ‘endnote CWYW word 2011 bundle’ which I clicked on but it doesn’t seem to do anything. When I went on microsoft word there is a floating endnote toolbar but it does not have the CWYW button. It seems like something isn’t right here. Could you please help me out?

If you go to the Tools menu in Microsoft Word, the EndNote menu should appear. Either it will indicate EndNote X6 or EndNote Web. If you are seeing EndNote X6, you can swap the tools. See the following article:
