EndNote "Transfer References" could not connect to EndNote Web.

Good day everyone.

My company purchased a volume license of 22 of EndNote X4.  In the past few days, I have been testing the EndNote Desktop and EndNoteWeb component.  I created an EndNote Web account from EndNote X4 using the procedure from the website.  Everything seems to be working fine the first time I used it.  I could transfer my references from and to the EndNote Desktop and the Web.

I was going to try the colloboration feauture so I created another EndNote web account on another user account but same PC.  Now, everytime I open EndNote X4 and click on " transfer…", I get the following error message:

 

EndNote “Transfer References” could not connect to EndNote Web.

This may be due to a temporary Internet or Server error. Please try again.

Also, when I launch Word 2010, and I go to the EndNote tab, I get the following error message:

Cite While You Write could not connect to EndNote Web.

This may be due to a temporary Internet or Server error.  Please try again.

Take note though that I could still access the references I have transfered on the EndNote Web.  i just could not make the transfer anymore from and to the EndNote Desktop and Web

I have checked with our Network Team and they have advised me that the following websites are not blocked on the firewall or security.

Could you please help?

I am using Windows 7 and Office 2010.  My EndNote X4 is Bld 4845.

Try logging into one of the EndNote Web accounts through Internet Explorer.  With the EndNote Web account page up within Internet Explorer, try the EndNote Web transfer functionality within EndNote X4.  If you get the same message after this test, in EndNote X4, click “Edit>Preferences” and go to the “EndNote Web” tab.  On the EndNote Web tab, make certain the URL field is set to “http://www.myendnoteweb.com” and try entering login details within the “E-mail Address” and “Password” fields.  Afterward, try transferring again to see if the ‘could not connect…’ message appears.

Same problem. Impossible to connect to EndNote web. Configuration settins aren’t wrong.

Windows 7, EndNote X4 Bld 4845.
