EndNote Web tab appears instead of EndNote

A few days ago this happened: I had been using EndNote, now even though I have tried all recommendations from your articles only EndNote Web appears but is inactive and spools and does not exit. I use Word XP 2010 and have updated EndNote X2 with 2.03 and 2.04

Is there a support service in South Africa?

Endnote X2 is not compatible with Word 2010?

But I see you say Word XP 2010 so you probably meant XP.  See this

Word X, 2000, 2002 (XP), 2003, 2004, 2008 and EndNote X and later:

  1. Open Word.
  2. Go to the “Tools” menu, choose “EndNote Web” and select “Cite While You Write Preferences.”
  3. Here, go to the “Applications” tab.
  4. Select EndNote.
  5. Click OK.

Thank you for posting this.  I have this problem as well and, unfortunately, I am unable to switch the application to EndNote in my CWYW preferences.  If anyone can help me out, that would be appreciated.
