I just upgraded from X2 ro X3 but Word>Tools still shows X2. I have followed all the installation and the X3 files are in the right folders. When I checked MyComputer>Libray>Application support>EndNote, I found some vry old files dating back to 2005! The 2005 files are ENdDefaultstyle.ens, ENDefaultfilter.enf, and ENDefultConnectoon.enz. There also files from 2008 that I believe relate to X!. These include Backup of EndNote CWYW Commands, crcx2.dat, and style cache v1.0. Finally there are files from late 2009 that I believe are related to X2.
I apologize for the long list. My question is can I delete or move to another volume those files that were installed before February 2010 when I installed X3. Or, should I just ignore this as EndNote is working fine and is showing upas EndNote X3.
I am using Word 2008 fror the Mac running under Mac OS 10.6.2 (Snow Leopard).
Thanks for any advice,
Tom Casselman
