Endnote X7 only entering temporary citations

I am using X7 and Windows 365, and instant formatting is on.  Endnote is only entering temporary citations, and I can’t get it to update them or create a bibligraphy.  I have tried restarting all applications, using Endote online, opening new documents, and changing the citation format.  Help would be much appreciated!

You would first want to determine if the issue is document specific.

If you try inserting into a new blank Word document do you get the same behavior?

If it only happens with a certain document then try the steps at:
