Export from Ovid and import to Endnote X1

Hi

I’m trying to export approx 5000 records at a time from bibliographic databases accessed via Ovid, and then import them into Endnote X1.

I can only export/import 200 records at a time going the following route

  • “Records to export”
  • “Full citation”
  • “Direct export”
  • “Save”

Then

  • “Export results to Endnote, Procite, or Reference Manager”

Then

  • “Open with Web Export Helper”

Or

  • “Save file”

Then saving the file, and then importing it from within Endnote.

Endnote crashes and the Ovid interface hangs if I try to export more than 200 records at a time.

Does anyone have any suggestions of a better way?
