How to import an already saved pdf file from the computer using Endnote X1?

PDF Import was introduced as a feature beginning with EndNote X4. I’m afraid this functionality did not exist in EndNote X1. You would have to import the reference using online search or direct export from a browser and then attach the PDF to the record manually.

This version is fully featured for 30 days and will allow you to import your PDF, as long as it is an original PDF (not a scan) and contains a DOI number.
