In text citation issue

Hi there, I am using Endnote again after a bit of a hiatus and its a new version so I apologise if this is a silly question! When I try and insert an in-text citation, it appears as:

(Arthington, 2007 #2@@author-year)

It isnt hyperlinked/highlighted as the in-text citations usually are and it doesnt create a reference list/bibliography as I’m working.

I have no idea what I’ve done wrong! Any help would be appreciated.

What you are seeing is a temporary citation. This can happen if Instant Formatting is not enabled. To enable Instant Formatting, please see this article:
