Is there a way to enclose a fileld name in parenthesis in biobliography?

The output style is Vancouver.
The journal requirement is (Suppl).
The journal template which I used is:

This is the best I could do:
Gautherie M: Clinical studies of the vibration syndrome using a cold stress test measuring finger temperature. Cent Eur J Public Health 3 Suppl, 5-10 (1995)

What I tried was to cut/paste “Suppl” from Volume field to Parts/Supplement field and subsequently insert Parts/Supplement filed in the Journal template. However, this does not work.

Is there a way a to modify journal template in such a way that Suppl is enclosed in parenthesis (Suppl) as journal requires ?

What do you mean, “it doesn’t work”? You put (Suppl) into that field, included the field where in the template? Saved it to a new name (or it looks like your style is already modified so that might not be necessary, but to make sure I always rename it so I know I am using the newly edited version) and then made sure the updated style is being used in the document? I just ran a test where I added (Supplement) to that field in a journal article, added the Parts/Supplement field to the jorunal template at the end, and it appeared in that position in the journal reference list. (I started with vancouver).

Thank you!. This works.

BTW, this reference in database was imported from PubMed as is:

What I tried instead was to cut/paste Suppl in database Part/Supplement field and to insert Part/Supplement field in Journal Article template next to volume.
In that case It didn’t make difference whether there was the parenthesis in that field around Suppl or not.
However, it might be that I made syntax error.
BTW, is there a solution for what I tried to do. What the modified Journal article field should like for this to work ?

Without moving the word to another field, I don’t believe there is anyway to “tell” endnote that part of the volume field should be in paranthesis without making the edit to the field itself. So moving the word to the Part/Supplement field is the way to go. You don’t need to use the parenthesis in the field itself, but can add the field in parathesis for your current journal, if another journal prefers it without parentheses, you can just modify that template to include it without the parentheses.

which resulted in a citation where I place just Suppl in the Parts/Supplement field and the output style inserts the parentheses.
