Issues running EndNote X9.3.1 on Win 10, 64bit

  1. Downloaded .enw-files are not recognized automaticly by Endnote when I try to open them by doubleclicking. Windows asks me to choose a programm manually to open the .enw-file but its not possible to select Endnote in the listed programs. Connecting the Endnote.exe is also not possible.
    If I try to import the citation-file internally with endote ( -> File -> Import), a mistake sound accours and nothing happens.

  2. References which where added to my library show up in the cwyw window in MS word but I can´t find them listed in my Endnote-library (see attached below). Only one library is opened in Endote ( -> Window)

I fear to reinstall the programm, loosing all cite-connections to the MS Word document. Can someone help me with this?
